Welcome To The Lake Oswego Review’s New Community Website!

After months of work, the Lake Oswego Review is proud to introduce our new community website. This site is dedicated to everything Lake Oswego. In the same way that our news site is already Lake Oswego’s best online source for local news, the goal for our community site is to become the local area’s number one resource for general community information about Lake Oswego.

Because this site is still in the development stage, we are seeking your input on any information that needs to be updated. We also welcome your ideas as to how we can make this site better and easier for you to use. Please email your suggestions to Lake Oswego Review publisher J. Brian Monihan at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

A unique component of this site is our local online business directory. Now looking for a local shop, restaurant or service provider just got a whole lot easier. Just by clicking on the Buy Lake Oswego button to the right, you’ll be immediately linked to Lake Oswego’s most comprehensive list of local businesses. Businesses that are Lake Oswego Chamber members or have a business license from the City of Lake Oswego are listed free on this site.

Thanks for visiting our site and we appreciate any input you can provide.

Welcome to Lake Oswego

In Northwest Oregon, on the banks of the scenic Willamette River and hugging the shore of a 405-acre lake, Lake Oswego is nestled among many of Oregon’s greatest attractions: Mount Hood, the Oregon Coast, the Columbia Gorge and nearby vineyards, farmlands and forests. There are waters for swimming, boating, fishing and water-skiing; neighborhood, city and state parks for hiking, horseback riding, jogging and family recreation; soccer and baseball fields, tennis courts and golf courses; a country club and much more.

Lake Oswego, the largest city in Clackamas County, has a population estimated as of July 2006 of 36,345. There are also parts of the city in Multnomah and Washington counties. The city covers 11.2 square miles. Lake Oswego is close to Oregon’s major metropolitan areas. It is eight miles from Portland and 45 minutes from Salem.

Lake Oswego is consistently rated one of Oregon’s most livable cities. Its residents are involved in community and school activities.

The city has a superb library, an outstanding center for its senior citizens and expansive parks and natural areas.

Lake Oswego will celebrate its centennial anniversary in 2010. The community is planning to celebrate the entire year with a number of historical events planned to commemorate this important milestone.
