Government

Need to contact the police, get a tree permit or voice concerns about your community? These are the people you need to talk to.

Citizen involvement is a characteristic of the cities of West Linn and Lake Oswego, where residents show their interest in civic affairs by serving on city government advisory committees and performing other volunteer duties.
In addition, both towns boast numerous neighborhood associations, which are officially recognized by their city governments. Their members meet regularly to discuss everything from neighborhood crime prevention programs to positions on city actions.
The city councils in each town also have adopted comprehensive plans to assist their communities in planning for future growth.
